To Boldly Go…

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, cats and kittens, damen und herren, mesdames et monsieurs, flotsam and jetsam, guys and dolls, frick and frack, click and clack, yin and yang: with the arrival of our final 2014 lamb, it’s naming time.

We have taken our inspiration from the delightful timing of yesterday’s final birth of the season with a visit by Lori and her band mates who were traversing from a gig the night before in Winooski to their next gig in Cambridge. The band is called The Other Bones.  We therefore think the final lamb must be called Bones so that we can say, “no, The other Bones!” Get it? The band? No! The other Bones!  (Some times I kill myself).  And if this skinny ram is Bones, well, the rest of the lambs are easy:

Martha’s ram lamb, born on Saturday, April 19 @ 5:55 am – Kirk!

and finally…

Jackie’s ram lamb, born on Wednesday, April 23 @ 2:45 pm – Bones! (we think he’s the cutest)

Sorry, “Spock” and “Chekhov” just didn’t feel right. We hope Bill Shatner, George Takei, and all the others don’t mind.

And, of course, may they live long and prosper (the ewes, at least).

Does that mean you might be calling Dolly’s ewe lamb Chris Christie ??

So glad to read the new flock is in! Congratulations to you both and welcome back to the world of “sleeping through the night.” Thailand was phenomenal (no sheep in sight, but you got us thinking of silk farming!

Hi Todd, maybe raising sheep helps offset the stress of a desk job? If you were within driving distance I’d come out and learn how. Good to see things are going well.
